The successful candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include:
Financial Management of the Middle East business including:

  • Day to day financial support including petty cash, corporate credit card, debtor/creditor reconciliation and payment runs.
  • Month end support.
  • Working capital management, ensuring the cashflow is updated weekly for Middle East and Group cash forecasting, supporting with aged debt reporting and consulting with PM’s and management to ensure debtors days are kept to a minimum.
  • Providing ad hoc support to the local and divisional management teams when required.

Tax compliance:

  • Responsible for preparation and filing of quarterly VAT filing.
  • Provide Tax advice on VAT application and impact of WHT when raising invoices to local and overseas clients.
  • Support with corporation tax compliance.

Monthly and annual reporting:

  • Assistance to the management team with completion of monthly WIP returns.
  • Process the monthly payroll.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage local statutory reporting requirements for the Middle East businesses (statutory accounts, tax compliance & reporting etc.).
  • Assist with preparation of annual budgets.
  • Completion of monthly carbon reporting data analytics.
  • Completion of annual In-Country Value (ICV) certification process.
  • Ensure project finance data is up to date – tenders, backlogs, WIP, debtors, creditors.

Person specification/Desired experience:

  • Qualified with a relevant financial qualification with ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or other relevant internationally recognised professional accounting qualification.
  • Over five years’ relevant experience in a similar Finance/Control role essential.
  • Consultancy or professional services industry background preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis software and tools and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Cash flow management experience essential.
  • Understanding of UAE VAT reporting and filing.
  • Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communicator at all levels, able to clearly explain financial information.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Initiative-taking and enthusiastic.
