Overview
We are looking for a professional Accountant to work closely with our Chief Accountant. You will assist with entry, clerical, and administration tasks related to the bank, free zone, customers, vendor, etc, and have a medium level of knowledge. You will continually support all operational departments with all accounting procedures. Good knowledge and experience with accounts payable/receivable is a must.
Main Responsibilities:
- Maintaining day-to-day accounting transactions such as receipts, payments, invoicing, journals, etc.
- Bank, customer, vendor, stock reconciliations and management.
- Day-to-day cash transactions
- Aging of payables and payments
- Payroll, end-of-service settlement of employee.
- Assisting with jobs related to labour office, emigration, free zone, bank, etc.
- Custodianship of documents and file management.
- Preparation and forwarding of customer/vendor statements.
- Supervision of purchases, issues, and stock of inventory and movement analysis.
- Administration of staff Insurance and company insurance
- Maintaining assets list and its management.
- Follow up on collection of dues from debtors.
- Control over bank accounts by closely monitoring the management of receivables and payables.
- Preparation of profitability statements, monthly/quarterly management reports, variance reports, cash flow projections etc.
Skills/Abilities:
- Professional accountant
- Minimum Qualification: Degree in Accounting
- 2 – 8 Years Experience
- Excellent communication and relationship skills
- Good organization and self-management skills
- Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
You must have excellent communication skills, be a good planner, and be very organized, trustworthy, and detail-oriented. You must be able to demonstrate consistency, have a good eye for detail/accuracy, and have a positive attitude. You must be proactive and not afraid to take the initiative and make independent decisions where required. Hard working, flexible with vast experience of operating within a customer-focused environment. It is imperative that this person has excellent written and spoken English.
