Accountant

We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Accountant to join our financial team and contribute to the financial stability and growth of our school. The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, including at least 3 years within a school environment. Familiarity with the Orison School Management System is highly preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and present comprehensive financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and conduct analyses to support strategic decision-making.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Oversee invoicing and collection efforts, process payments, reconcile supplier statements, and ensure accurate, timely financial transactions.
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist with annual budgets, forecasting, variance analysis, and performance monitoring, providing regular updates and insights to management.
• Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure adherence to UAE financial regulations, tax laws, school policies, and internal controls.
• Audit & Documentation: Coordinate internal and external audits, organize documentation, and address audit findings to ensure compliance.
• Payroll Management: Oversee payroll processes for accuracy, timely processing, and compliance with school policies.
• System Utilization & Training: Utilize Orison School Management System and other accounting software, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency. Provide training to staff on financial procedures and systems.
• Collaboration & Support: Work closely with other departments to support financial planning for events, projects, and operational needs.

• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP systems, including Orison and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Requirements: Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE, with at least 3 years specifically within a school environment. Experience with Orison School Management System is a strong advantage.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA, ACCA, or similar professional qualification preferred.
