About the position:
Galadari Trucks and Heavy Equipment is seeking a highly qualified Assistant Finance Manager to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will be a CA or CPA qualified professional with a strong background in UAE tax laws and financial management. This role is pivotal in supporting the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance with local regulations, and strategic financial planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with UAE accounting standards and tax laws.
- Support the Finance Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to aid in decision-making.
- Oversee daily financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with UAE tax regulations, including VAT filings, corporate tax returns, and any other statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits and implement audit recommendations.
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions to ensure adequate liquidity for operations.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to enhance efficiency and safeguard company assets.
- Assist in financial planning and strategy development to support business growth and profitability.
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong knowledge of UAE tax laws and accounting standards.
- Proven experience in financial management and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Experience in the heavy equipment or automotive industry.
- Familiarity with ERP systems.
- Knowledge of international accounting standards.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
