Job Description/Role
We are seeking an experienced and diligent Head Cashier to join our team at Signor Sassi, a fine dining Italian Restaurant in the St Regis on the Palm. As a Head Cashier, you will oversee the cashier team, ensure efficient and accurate transactions, and provide a welcoming environment for our customers. The ideal candidate will have excellent customer service skills, strong leadership abilities, and a keen eye for detail.
Principal Accountabilities
- Oversee cash transactions, cash reconciliations, account payments, account receivables and other accounting duties according to company policies.
- Train newly hired Cashiers in accounting procedures and company policies.
- Evaluate performance of cash associates and provide feedback.
- Ensure customer transactions are processed promptly and accurately.
- Ensure cash associates follow accounting policies, safety procedures and customer service standards.
- Identify and communicate any accounting related issues to management promptly.
- Ensure proper work schedule of cash associates.
- Monitor and maintain an even level of cash to ensure adequate cash supply.
- Supervise the opening and closing of cash registers.
- Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints.
- Attend all regular departmental briefings and contribute to an open communication within the assigned team.
- Perform other duties pertinent to this job as assigned.
Ideal Candidates
- BA degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position
- Fluent in English
- In-depth knowledge of operating cash register and maintaining cash drawer
- Well versed in performing monetary transactions such as giving and receiving change
- Computer knowledge. (Recommended to have previous experience in any software)
- Customer oriented with a positive attitude and smiling face.
