Job Description/Role

As the Finance Manager at Bukhash Brothers and its sister companies NSG and CHALK, you will play a pivotal role in monitoring the financial health of the organizations. Your responsibilities include preparing asset, liability, and account entries, analyzing financial transactions, and recommending strategic financial actions. Additionally, you will be instrumental in implementing efficient accounting systems, managing accounting software, overseeing VAT, corporate Tax and ensuring accurate handling of all accounting duties.

Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Financial Management:

  • Create and oversee the preparation of financial statements across all companies, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting:
  • Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
  • Prepare financial forecasts and variance analyses to support strategic decision-making.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity for operational needs.
  • Optimize working capital and recommend strategies to improve cash conversion cycles.

Cost Management:

  • Analyze costs and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Implement cost control measures and monitor their effectiveness.

Tax and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and oversee the annual audit process.
  • Ensure regular VAT Filing and Corporate Tax Filing.

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

  • Provide financial analysis to support management decision-making.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analyses for potential investments and business initiatives.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly financial reports at department level and company level (for all 3 companies).

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and professional development plans for team members.

Requirements and skills

  • Proven experience as a Financial Manager in the UAE
  • Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst
  • Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns
  • Proficient user of finance software
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used
  • A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles
  • Working knowledge of all statutory legislation and regulations
  • BS/MA degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CA, CFA/CPA or similar will be considered a plus
