Job Description/Role
Role Overview:
As our Regional Operations Assistant Manager, you’ll play a vital role in supporting and coordinating operational activities to ensure the smooth and efficient movement of goods across our region.
Your responsibilities will be diverse and impactful. You’ll assist in managing vessel schedules, optimizing cargo loading processes, and ensuring timely departures and arrivals to maximize operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating and managing vessel schedules to ensure timely departures and arrivals, optimizing cargo loading and unloading processes for maximum efficiency.
- Follows up the container movements which are reported by the local agencies or directly by the depots or terminals with EDI files.
- Coordinate container repairs and maintenance with authorized vendors to ensure fleet integrity and minimize downtime.
- Collect final booking lists and prepare stowage plans to maximize vessel utilization.
- Collects Arrival, Departure Reports from local agencies and updates the system accordingly.
- follows up booking forecast with the sales department on daily basis and plans vessels’ capacities accordingly.
- Coordinate container Pre-Trip Inspection (PTI) processes for shipments through local agencies.
- Coordinate RF containers’ maintenance and repair as necessary.
- follows up the demurrage and port storage cost and instructs the accounting department to invoice the same to the customers.
Qualifications:
- Language: English (advanced)
- Degree: Bachelor’s degree (preferably maritime, logistics, shipping)
- Experience: 5 -10 years in container shipping industry (preferably in shipping lines)
