Job Description/Role
We are looking for accountant with Odoo experience.
Salary 4500 AED – 5500 AED. Kindly don’t apply if the salary does not apply your expectations.
Responsibilities:
1. Accounts Payable:
• Process vendor invoices and expense reports.
• Verify accuracy of invoices and ensure proper coding and approval.
• Prepare and process payments to vendors.
2. Accounts Receivable:
• Generate customer invoices and statements.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Record customer payments and reconcile accounts receivable.
3. General Ledger Maintenance:
• Assist in maintaining the general ledger by recording journal entries and adjustments.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts, such as bank accounts and prepaid expenses.
• Assist in month-end and year-end close procedures.
4. Bank Reconciliation:
• Reconcile bank statements to the general ledger.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank records and accounting records.
• Prepare and post necessary adjusting journal entries.
5. Expense Reporting:
• Review employee expense reports for compliance with company policies.
• Ensure proper documentation and approval for expense reimbursement.
• Process expense reimbursements in a timely manner.
6. Payroll Processing:
• Assist in processing payroll and maintaining payroll records.
• Calculate and input employee hours, deductions, and bonuses.
• Prepare the List and coordinating with al Ansari on 24 on each month to keep them ready for transfer.
7. Fixed Asset Management:
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Assist in recording acquisitions, disposals, and transfers of fixed assets.
• Perform periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets.
8. Inventory Control Assistance:
• Assist in inventory tracking and management.
• Update inventory records and reconcile physical counts with system records.
• Provide support in analyzing inventory-related data.
9. Tax Compliance Support:
• Assist in gathering information and preparing tax returns each Quarter.
• Maintain VAT records and documentation.
10. Project Accounting:
• Track project costs and revenues for construction projects.
• Perform cost accounting activities, including job costing and cost allocation.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project financial reporting.
11. Cash Management:
• Monitor cash flows and manage liquidity needs.
• Coordinate with treasury to optimize cash positions.
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and projections.
12. Financial Reporting:
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Provide accurate and timely financial reports to management and owner.
13. Budgeting and Forecasting:
• Assist in the development of annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Skills:
- Proven experience as an Accountant/Auditor or in a similar role, preferably in the retail and/or construction industry
- Experience with Oodoo or Zoho Books
- Excellent math skills
- An eye for detail
- Good problem-solving skills
- The ability to multitask
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
