Job Description/Role

Role: Accountant

Reporting to: General Manager

Position Summary:

We are currently seeking an experienced Accountant to join our team at Long Reach Feed Industry in Al Ain. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. This position will report directly to the General Manager and will require a strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Prepare financial statements and reports, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Conduct month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
3. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities, providing financial insights and analysis.
4. Perform monthly reconciliations of bank accounts, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
5. Manage and oversee the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing and collections.
6. Handle general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
7. Review and analyze financial data, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
8. Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and collaborate with auditors during financial audits.
9. Maintain and update financial records and documentation, ensuring compliance with local regulations and best practices.
10.Work closely with cross-functional teams, providing financial guidance and support as needed.
11.Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
12.Stay updated with changes in accounting regulations and industry standards, ensuring compliance at all times.
13.Perform additional duties as assigned by the Finance Manager or senior management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
3. Proficiency in accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks, SAP, or similar systems.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including GAAP.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
6. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
7. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis.
8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to both financial and non-financial audiences.
9. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
10.Candidate should be based in Al Ain or be willing to relocate to Al Ain
