Fäm Interior, a company specializing in interior fit-out solutions, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess an analytical mindset and a strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles within the fit-out industry.
Job Description/Role
About the Role: Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze financial information and prepare balance sheets.
- Collaborate with management and staff to develop budgets.
- Ensure compliance with organizational guidelines, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Resolve accounts payable and receivable issues promptly and accurately.
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash, check, and credit card transactions, and maintain invoice records.
- Adhere to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements.
- Assist in financial audits, tax preparation, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare income tax returns and fulfill corporate reporting requirements.
- Generate monthly financial statements including cash flow, profit and loss, and balance sheets.
- Execute end-of-month closing procedures.
- Forecast cash flow and manage supplier and client payment schedules.
- Take full responsibility for fit-out, construction, and development projects.
- Prepare monthly progress reports and bank reconciliations.
- Code and input invoices accurately, ensuring proper approvals and supporting documents.
- Coordinate payment processing and obtain approval signatures.
- Reconcile accounts payable balances with suppliers and address any discrepancies.
- File monthly VAT returns and ensure compliance with future corporate tax regulations.
- Monitor and verify project costs, reporting any variances.
- Liaise with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and management.
- Manage holdbacks (retention) and maintain project-related records.
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger for construction and development projects.
- Conduct inter-company reconciliations and respond to accounting inquiries promptly.
- Prepare monthly salary payments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related (essential).
- Certified Professional Accountant (CPA) certificate (advantageous).
