Job Description/Role
We are looking for an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team. The successful candidate will manage the accounting activities of the Service Centre based in Mussafah, Abu Dhabi.
To be considered for this role, you must have three or more years of relevant experience, preferably in the trading, construction, or retail industries.
Key Accountabilities:
- Verify the accuracy of invoices and other accounting records to ensure compliance with Taqeef policies and procedures.
- Post, allocate and reconcile general ledger transactions.
- Verify bank statements and perform reconciliation with general ledger entries.
- Update and maintain JV, general ledgers, and other financial transaction records (e.g. disbursements, expense vouchers, receipts, accounts payable) in the ERP System – Navision.
- Ensure accurate financial and accounting transactions in the system.
- Maintain up-to-date accounting filing systems.
- Reconcile records with affiliate companies, external vendors, or customers.
- Prepare monthly balance confirmation
- Ensure all sales transactions are correctly posted and allocated.
- Process all sales change price requests.
- Support month-end and close year-end process.
- Process monthly payroll and ensure timely upload and payment in the system.
- Manage daily petty cash records and transactions.
- Ensure cash deposits in CDM machines are posted correctly and allocated in the system.
- Manage payment deposits into the banks.
- Issue approved payments/cheques/bank transfers/cash to vendors.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Line Manager.
- Prepare data for Service Centre P&L.
- Prepare reconciliation of the Service Centre’s monthly revenue.
Qualifications:
- BSc in Commerce, Finance, or Accounting fields.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Hands-on experience in the general ledger and the month-end/year-end close process.
- Familiarity with accounting software and ERP systems, e.g., Navision.
- Ability to work under tough deadlines and with blue-collar roles.
