Job Description/Role

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Audits:

Conduct thorough audits of financial statements, accounting records, and internal systems.
Verify the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions and records.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Process Audits:

Review and evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes within the company.
Identify areas of improvement in workflows, resource utilization, and process optimization.
Develop and recommend best practices for process improvements.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess risks that could impact financial performance and operational efficiency.
Evaluate the effectiveness of existing risk management strategies and controls.
Propose risk mitigation strategies and monitor their implementation.

Compliance Checks:

Plan and perform internal audits to evaluate the effectiveness of the company’s compliance programs and controls.
Review and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and compliance procedures.
Ensure adherence to internal policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct regular routine compliance audits to verify adherence to industry standards and legal requirements.

Reporting:

Prepare detailed audit reports outlining findings, risks, and recommendations.
Communicate audit results to management and relevant stakeholders.
Track and monitor the implementation of audit recommendations.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with industry best practices, regulatory changes, and advancements in audit methodologies.
Provide training and support to staff on audit processes and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with other departments to promote a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Ensure timely resolution of points mentioned in audit reports through regular follow-ups.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) are preferred.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Arabic is highly advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently as per job requirements.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, finance, or a related field, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.
  • Experience in conducting financial audits, process reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
