About the role
Senior Finance manager tracks cash flow and performs financial planning, forecasting, reporting and budget management. He/she reports directly to the CEO.
What You’ll Do
- Oversee the financial planning of the AEP by creating detailed quarterly and yearly budgets, and by evaluating AEP’s financial performance and potential risks.
- Analyze and report on financial performance to senior executives when needed.
- Execute and monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company, such as payroll, invoicing, and other transactions.
- Manage all accounting and finance employees including management accountants and internal auditors.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws and guidelines.
- Oversee audit, tax and internal control processes.
- Develop and implement accounting policies.
- Assess, manage, and minimize financial risks by working with risk management team.
Minimum Qualifications
- Preference is given to Certified Public Accountant/ Chartered Financial Analyst qualifications
- Master/bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance with professional qualification CA, ACCA or relevant field
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in financial management
- In-depth knowledge of accounting software(s), corporate principals, and financial analysis
Technical and Behavioral Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- An analytical mind with good organizational skills
- Outstanding leadership skills
- Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach to management
- Be proactive, reliable, responsible and accurate with an attention to detail.
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English; Arabic is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Regional experience in the UAE is preferred.
- Proficiency in written and spoken Arabic is considered a strong asset.
