About the Job:
Do you possess a passion for numbers and a sharp eye for detail? We are currently seeking a dedicated Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Dubai. As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a variety of accounting and administrative tasks, ensuring the seamless operation of our financial processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver invoices to clients in a timely manner.
- Ensure prompt receipt of payments for invoices.
- Perform daily reconciliations of cash, cheques, and card transactions accurately.
- Resolve accounts payable and receivable issues or queries.
- Assist in completing month-end close procedures.
- Aid in filing and submitting quarterly and yearly Tax returns to FTA.
- Collaborate with external auditors during the yearly company audit.
- Collect and deposit cheques into accounts when necessary.
- Miscellaneous admin tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in handling company accounts.
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
- Exceptional attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and Word.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Xero Accounting Software is an advantage.
- Knowledge about DMCC regulation and handling of DMCC portal is also an added advantage.
- Understanding of financial markets.
- Previous experience working for brokerage firms in the accounts team.
