The ideal candidate will exhibit primary responsibilities including overseeing cost control initiatives, developing and monitoring periodic budgets, analyzing financial data, and providing strategic insights to the group finance manager to support effective decision-making. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in financial management.
Responsibilities
Cost Control:
- Implement and maintain robust cost control processes along with the F&B cost controller to ensure efficient allocation of resources.
- Analyze cost variances, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions to enhance cost-effectiveness.
- Collaborate with department heads to establish cost benchmarks and performance metrics.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the development and preparation of annual budgets in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Monitor budget execution, track actual versus budgeted performance, and report on key variances.
- Work closely with department managers to ensure alignment of budgetary goals with organizational objectives.
Financial Analysis:
- Conduct thorough cost analysis to support decision-making and provide insights into business performance.
- Generate cost and budget reports and forecasts, highlighting key financial indicators and trends.
- Present findings to senior management and provide actionable recommendations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is a plus.
- Proven experience (8-10 years) in cost control, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, budgeting techniques, and cost accounting.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in relevant financial software and ERP systems.
