Job Description – Procurement Manager
- Strategic planning for sourcing activities –
- aligning the procurement activities as per organization objectives, identifying potential suppliers, and assessing risks and opportunities.
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities and implementing strategies to optimize procurement costs without compromising quality
- Implementing strategies to ensure continuity of supply and minimize the impact of unforeseen events
- Purchase requests
- Drafting RFPs
- Selection of suppliers
- Issuance of orders
- Create an approval matrix for sourcing activities
- Management of procurement functions as per policies and procedures
- Master vendor data management
- Tracking supplier performance and conducting regular performance reviews
- Contract Negotiation – Negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers, including pricing, terms and conditions, delivery schedules, and service level agreements. Ensuring that contracts are favorable and in compliance with legal requirements.
- Able to develop procurement strategies
- Developing and implementing efficient procedures and workflows to streamline the procurement process and minimize costs
- Draft purchase contract terms and conditions, liaise with legal to finalize sourcing general terms and conditions
- Liaise with suppliers and project managers
- Perform risk management for supply contracts and agreements
- Guide and assist in the creation of :
- Developing procurement budgets and monitoring expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and implementing best practices in procurement
Requirements
- Experience in procurement functions, preferably in MNCs
- Arabic language proficiency
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of extensive experience in procurement functions
- Able to draft procurement policies and procedures
- Strong project management skills
- Negotiation skills
- Ability to work well in high-pressure situations to meet deadlines
- Certifications in any of the qualifications (CPSM, CPSD, CPIM, CSCP or similar) along with bachelor or post-graduation
- Experience with various ERP systems
