Our newest opportunity is for a talented Accountant to join our award-winning team based in Dubai, UAE.

Responsibilities:

We envisage success in this role to include:

Accounting

  • Day to day transactional accounting.
  • Preparation of monthly reporting pack and management accounting/reporting.
  • In-Charge of Consolidation and Elimination of Group Accounts.
  • Prepare & process various monthly journal entries prior to closing.
  • Submission of monthly results.
  • Preparation of cash flow forecast.
  • Monthly reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts to confirm completeness and accuracy assertion.
  • Assist quarterly submission of VAT returns.
  • Ensure strong internal controls to protect the assets of the company.
  • Assisting in preparation of auditing schedules.
  • Assisting in preparing internal audit workings & SOX testing.
  • Coordinating across departments to resolve accounting issues.
  • Managing the Master data for Accounting & Reporting tools.

Reporting

  • Monthly management report pack to management prior and post-closing the month.
  • Preparation and full control of Annual & Semi-Annual budget preparations.
  • Other ad hoc reports as requested by management.

General

  • Offer support and guidance to other Finance team members.
  • Liaise with IT department to develop reports in Orion system.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 7 years work experience partnered with a Bachelor Degree in Finance/Commerce/ Business Administration.

  • Relevant recognized formal qualifications (University and management accounting. E.g., CA, ACCA, CIMA etc.).
  • Knowledge of IFRS and Auditing standards.
  • Up to date on VAT and CIT implementation and news/ updates.
  • Practical “hands-on” exposure in a similar business environment
  • Fluency in written and spoken English (essential).
  • Proficient Excel knowledge.
