Role Description:
As the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for shaping and leading our Tax Division, overseeing the provision of guidance to clients on tax issues and ensuring compliance for our clients while simultaneously maintaining relationships with them.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing the Tax Division, which includes establishing goals, overseeing tax engagements and ensuring high-quality client service.
- Providing expert tax advisory and consulting services to clients – including tax planning, compliance, and strategy development with a specific focus on Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate Tax and Economic Substance Reporting.
- Staying up-to-date with developments in Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate Tax and Economic Substance Reporting regulations.
- Advising clients on relevant changes in taxation and compliance legislation which may affect their organisations and operations.
- Conducting tax research and analysis to identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies for clients.
- Collaborating with other departments in the organisation to provide integrated financial services for clients.
- Mentoring and guiding a Tax Assistant to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Fostering and maintaining strong client relations by addressing their needs and ensuring client satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance
- Professional accounting qualification (qualified/semi-qualified)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax with an expertise in Value Added Tax (VAT), Corporate Tax and Economic Substance Reporting
- Strong knowledge of federal tax and compliance laws and regulations
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
