We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Assistant to join Jordex Global. As a Financial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department in various financial tasks and ensuring smooth financial operations. Your responsibilities will include handling financial transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and assisting with financial analysis. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
· Accounts Receivable/Payable: Process and manage incoming and outgoing invoices, ensuring accurate recording and timely payments.
· Bank Reconciliations: Conduct regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
· Expense Management: Assist in tracking and reconciling expenses, ensuring compliance with company policies.
· Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
· Financial Analysis: Contribute to financial analysis efforts by gathering data, preparing reports, and interpreting financial information to support decision-making processes.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
· Assist Audits: Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits.
· Data Entry and Maintenance: Accurately enter financial data into the accounting system and maintain updated records.
· Vendor Management: Liaise with vendors and suppliers for financial-related matters, including payments and reconciliations.
· Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations and company policies.
· Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance department and propose solutions.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
· Experience: Previous experience in a financial or accounting role is preferred, particularly within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
· Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software (QuickBooks). Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
· Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and draw insights.
· Attention to Detail: Meticulous and detail-oriented approach to ensure accuracy in financial records.
· Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
· Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with team members, clients, and vendors.
