Seeking a diligent, highly organized, result-oriented Senior Accounting Officer to join our growing Finance team at Presight.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Senior Manager – Financial Reporting, your key responsibilities are-

• Support the company in optimizing its financial transactions and systems
• Strengthen and grow relationships with vendors and suppliers through timely payments
• Ensure that payments process is streamlined, all the control checks are adhered too, proper documentation is put in place, proper SOA/reconciliations are prepared, suppler payments are made on a timely basis. Ensure compliance with the payment’s checklist.
• Prepare the supplier reconciliation and ensure that reconciling items are adequately recorded in books before the payments are made to suppliers.
• Review invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment and ensure 3-way match is done.
• Perform invoice and general-ledger data entry
• Review transaction and invoices for appropriate documentation prior to payment
• Oversee the timely processing and maintenance of accounts payables in addition to accurate accounting for invoices and payments.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial statements, underlying schedules and other financial reports.
• Compiling financial reports and assisting in the month-end closing process.
• Monitor petty cash/impress accounts and ensure petty cash management is in accordance with the policies and procedures set out.
• Monitor credit card accounts and compliance with the policies and procedures set out.
• Coordinate with operations teams for timely processing of the payments, ensure that adequate documentation is in place before payments are processed.
• Liaising with external auditors for the audit of the consolidated and standalone financial statements and providing relevant supporting documents.
• Support tax team on compliance matters and additional adhoc projects.
• Ensure vendor invoices comply with VAT requirements and ensure timely VAT filings
• Coordinate appropriate management approvals for vendor payments
• Supporting on a variety of adhoc projects as required.

Qualifications

To qualify, you must have

• Experience in relevant field for at least 4 years
• Understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and Microsoft Dynamics
• BSc degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
• Basic knowledge of IFRS and tax laws

Ideally, you’ll also need

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Self-driven in organizing employee events
• Attention to detail
• Management of internal and external stakeholders
• Oracle or SAP experience

This role is expected to be onsite in Abu Dhabi.
