About the job

The Events Manager will be leading on the execution of projects and events while ensuring that all logistics requirements are carried out according to the project/events plan as well as budget and timeline. Manages the event plans and works closely with other departments to ensure that all operational requirements of the events are fulfilled. The Events Manager should be able to oversee event concept, pitch it to the client and execute each event within guidelines with MP standards while ensuring that it enhances an uplift the client image. Part of the Senior Events manager responsibility, is to ensure acquiring new business with a significant steady growth of the to the events business.

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consult with clients to assess and understand their needs for the event

Develop a strategy with a full-on calendar for each client event.

Pitch in events concept clearly to clients focusing on the creative concept of the event and all the client requirements.

Conduct research to identify new prospective clients and acquire new businesses with a steady business growth.

Create databases and partnerships with a variety of vendors i.e. catering, design, floral, venues, photographers, entertainment, etc.

Lead negotiation with vendors to secure service contracts within event budget.

Collaborate with Marketing, PR & Social Media teams on ideation events concept as well as event activation plans, considering all strategic requirements as well as safety measures.

Create and manage detailed budgets and timelines for each event.

Manage final accommodation plans for all events guests and teams.

Manage all on ground team and ensure that all set objective of each team is being executed as per the set timeline.

Ensure events follow local security, workplace safety and health regulations.

Manage adjustments to event programs and adjust schedules accordingly.

Responsible all event operations runs smoothly and as per scheduled calendar and plan.

Responsible for the selection of suitable locations and venues for each event.

Responsible of keeping track of all events financials and invoices of each project

Track results and impact of each event to create a report post each event.

Responsible for establishing a strong event department and developing a growth plan for the team.

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

Minimum 6 years’ experience in events management

Experience within the Fashion, luxury, lifestyle sector is preferable

Fluent in English

Advanced knowledge of MS Office
