There are various Product roles working for many leading banks. Product areas include.
The Digital Product Owner will ensure timely operation of the production phase according to predefined requirements and coordinates production activities with IT, Ops, Business, Control Functions, and HR.
The Digital Product Owner will be reporting to Head of Digital. You would be responsible for operational metrics for the production phase (For e.g. on-time delivery, budget compliance, and number of defects).
-Collaborating in the execution of business cases, and supporting in the strategic vision, budgets and project initiation
-Compare the customer journey design against a detailed list of criteria (Product features, control/approvals, business adoption, and change management requirements) to ensure it is ready for the production phase
-Support the business and technology management in the measurement of risks and resolution of issues that impact the production scope, schedule, and quality
-Create go-live checklists and coordinate all go-live activities to track completion, stakeholder contribution, owner contribution, and adherence to timelines
-Coordinate with other bank production managers (IT, Business, Ops and Control, HR) to manage interdependencies and solve impediments – schedule meetings and workshops as required
-Experience in digital project production and deployment, including typical banking gates and checks required to bring products to market
-Experience in building digital roadmaps (with detailed initiatives) that mirror a bank’s digital strategy and priorities
-Experience in driving digital initiatives in banks (For e.g. customer journey redesign, digital migration, and digital channel enhancements)
-Experience in engaging with design and technology teams, to define requirements that are customer-centric
-Ability to develop working relationships across all entities of the bank
-Strong leadership and communication skills
-Strong IT project delivery understanding, including back-end development, system testing, user testing, and approvals required
-Experience with Agile development strongly preferred, Agile certification a plus
-Experience in customer journey redesign project management
