About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Manager, Communications to join our team and lead the communications efforts for the pre-opening of our first urban resort. The communications manager will play a key role in the successful launch of our resort, developing and implementing comprehensive communications plans and strategies that will drive brand awareness, and strong media value.

Job Summary

The Communications manager assists in delivering commercially driven omnichannel communications strategies aimed at driving brand awareness, storytelling and content across owned, earned and paid media in key international markets. The Communications manager must have a strong understanding of brand strategy, marcomms campaigns, creative storytelling, programming, partnerships and PR. The Communications manager will work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications and the Global Communications team at One&Only Global Office to ensure marcomms activations are aligned with programming calendars.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Communications strategies: Develop, create and execute integrated resort Communication yearly plans to drive brand awareness and bookings
  • Storytelling development: Develop storytelling strategies that include, but not limited to: brand partnerships, resort activations, programming, events, etc.
  • Agency management: In tandem with the Global Communications Team, build relationships and manage global agency networks including communications agencies
  • Media events: Organize and attend media events on and off property to represent One&Only One Za’abeel and grow our network and connections
  • Partnerships: Identify and pursue strategic local and international partnerships to help position the resorts and create new and engaging content.
  • PR & Media Relations: media engagement, agency management, crisis communications, press room content, media interviews, hosting media and KOLs
  • Media stays: Assist in the organization of media and influencer stays, vetting of the opportunity, lookbook, itinerary, hosting, coverage report and feedback forms
  • Media clipping: keep track of all press coverage coming from various markets

Required Skills And Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Communications in luxury hospitality, PR agencies, or media publication
  • Proven track record implementing successful Communication strategies and campaigns to build brand reputation, awareness, and conversion
  • Global outlook with experience of working across multiple regions
  • Experience working with media agencies and extensive knowledge of publications and existing relationships with press/media/local influencers (PR/Comms)
  • Demonstrate ability to build and maintain productive and cohesive relationships with peers and cross-functional teams.
  • Driven, ambitious, and enthusiastic about the world of PR and luxury
  • Strong communication and writing skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to speak and present effectively
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, comfortable, confident and enthusiastic when working with tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a cross-departmental team
  • Must be a strong self-starter as well as an effective team player
  • Passion, Integrity, Energy and idea generating initiatives.
  • Excellent organization and managerial skills with the ability to create high impact concise content specific communications
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to write press releases, biographies, Q&As, briefing documents and interview questions
