Scope & Responsibilities of the position
Recruitment specialist in a contracting and heavy equipment company plays a critical role in identifying and attracting top talent and qualified and all types of laborers to the company. They must be skilled at managing relationships, assessing massive candidate qualifications
And tasks will be as following but not limited to:
- Responsible for all activities related to sourcing ,interviewing and selection and screen candidates through job postings, social media, networking, recruitment agencies and other means.
- Review resumes and cover letters, conduct initial interviews, and perform background and reference checks when applicable.
- Collaborate with hiring managers: The recruitment specialist will work closely with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and create job descriptions that accurately reflect those needs. They will also provide guidance on the recruitment process and ensure that all hiring practices comply with legal requirements.
- Manage candidate pipeline: The recruitment specialist will manage the candidate pipeline and keep track of all candidate information in the applicant tracking system (ATS). They will also provide regular updates to hiring managers , line manager and candidates on the status of their applications.
- Participate in job fairs and industry events: The recruitment specialist may participate in job fairs, industry events, and other networking opportunities to attract potential candidates and build relationships with industry professionals.
- Monitor recruitment metrics: The recruitment specialist will track and analyze recruitment metrics such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate satisfaction. They will use this data to continuously improve the recruitment process.
- Ensure compliance: The recruitment specialist will ensure that all recruitment activities comply with relevant employment laws and regulations
Qualifications
- Education: A bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field is usually required.
- Experience: at least 3 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in the construction and heavy equipment industries or a related field.
Experience in candidate sourcing, interviewing, and selection is essential especially for laborers
- Should have a good understanding of recruitment processes and techniques, human resources principles and practices, and employment laws and regulations. Knowledge of the construction industry and its hiring practices is also desirable.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for the recruitment specialist to effectively communicate with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders.
- Organizational skills: The recruitment specialist should have excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities, and ensure that the recruitment process runs smoothly.
- Analytical skills: The recruitment specialist should have strong analytical skills to assess candidate qualifications, review recruitment metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
- Interpersonal skills: The recruitment specialist should have strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and other stakeholders, and maintain a positive employer brand
