The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing warehouse operations.
Supervising the implementation of the plans, policies and procedures of the warehouse department through managing the department and follow up and ensure the application of it effectively and periodically through organize and control all matters related to the stores, their balances, contribute to the prevention of losses and reduce costs.
Your goal will be to increase operational efficiency and ensure a safe environment.
Responsibilities
1. Development of warehouse policies and implement it.
2. Monitor the expenses of warehouse and their conformity with the budget and provide suggestions and solutions necessary.
3. Preparation of studies related to existing stores, considering the increase in capacity and efficiency of storage at the lowest cost.
4. Work procedures for the operational work of all warehouses works in the department and other related departments.
5. Following up the staff trainings continuously to increase employee effectiveness and maintain staff efficiency.
6. Develop work plans and contribute to the implementation of development ideas and savings projects.
7. Supervising the application of the systems applied in the warehouse and making sure the warehouses are arranged and the FIFO system, rout mapping, daily delivery plan is applied.
8. Follow-up balances of warehouse and compare them with MRP safety stock and report any run out on materials or FG to the concerned team.
9. Supervising the follow-up of logistic matters with logistics team leader, setting up the necessary policies and plans and coordinating with the concerned team if necessary to ensure the shipment of products according to the scheduled dates and receipt of raw materials as planned.
10. Supervising the accuracy of stock inventory control system to make sure no variances.
11. Participate in the inventory of all stores to ensure that the balances of the inventory are consistent with the existing data.
12. Contribute to the development of safety stock policy with the planning department and the current capacity of the stores.
13.All documentation relating to the warehouse department shall be kept in records, taking into consideration the implementation of all quality procedures and documents, and updating them as needed.
14. Follow up the implementation and commitment of the warehouse team to the quality and industrial safety instructions effectively.
15. Coordination with the head of the accounts section to control the costs of warehouse and follow-up financial matters related to the work of warehouse and costs of transport and shipping.
16. Follow up the work of the warehouse team and evaluate their work and provide plans and guidance for the work plan.
17. Submission the reports, scorecards, and other measurements for warehouse works.
18. Participate in the provision of training courses that increase the competence of staff and the department to increase the productivity.
19. Follow up and execute any other actions directed to him by the Direct Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Business Administration or any other scientific qualification related to experience on stores / logistics
- 10 years’ of warehouse experience with three years in managerial role
