JOB PURPOSE:

The Logistics Manager is responsible for ensuring the best transportation and storage options for our products in terms of price, security, timing, and reporting.

The role will have a particular focus on:

– Country: China, UAE

– Companies/Brands: Fummo (all)

– Key stakeholders: Fummo Partner

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Planning and forecasting all goods movements, directly linking with Manufacturing and Sales. Consolidate and communicate orders to the manufacturer.

2. Review and research client needs and develop the best method of approach to fulfill them.

3. Oversee and optimize the entire process of a goods shipment, from acquisition to delivery, In terms of cost, timing, and security. Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers.

4. Oversee and optimize stock management, including the cost of own or 3PL warehouses, all operations from goods reception to picking, inventory, maintenance, security, and audits.

5. Correspond with clients, suppliers, warehouses, and transportation hubs to ensure proper information flow and maximum efficiency. Ensure customer service.

6. Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies, and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance.

7. Report on a weekly and monthly basis.

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

Essential – BS in Business Administration, Logistics, or Supply Chain

Experience

Minimum 8 years in FMCG logistics

Minimum 5 years working in the Middle East import/export from the UAE

Minimum 2 years overseeing the full logistics cycle from storage to the distribution of goods

Knowledge
