A well-known and well-reputed Company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced, skilled, competent, mature, qualified, creative, and intelligent candidate with significant knowledge and relevant working experience for the position of  “Junior Accountant”.

Job Core Function

Responsible to manage, coordinate and support the accounting department and its processes in General accounting including preparing journal entries, account ledgers and bank reconciliations.

Below are the duties, functions and responsibilities:

Other duties may be assigned:

  • Handle petty cash
  • Records, classifies and process accounting transactions
  • Process and reconciles company payables.
  • Up to date reporting of customer statement of accounts; Ageing reporting
  • Maintains accurate bank movements and reconciles with bank statement on a monthly basis
  • Follow up on the purchasing orders
  • Maintain projects accounts & professional filing.
  • Monthly preparation of provision (pre-paid and Accruals)
  • Maintains fixed assets record, registry, location and depreciation
  • Schedules the due payments.

Education, Other Qualifications, Competencies:

  1. The candidate shall have Bachelor Degree or equivalent qualification in related field.
  2. One (1) – two (2) years of relevant experience
  3. Very good English, Arabic is a plus
  4. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
  5. High level of computer literacy, with specific requirements for Access databases, Word, Excel and Outlook
  6. Ability to work well with all levels of management, executive leadership and support staff
  7. Ability to effectively present information to team leader, public groups, employees of company
  8. Strong understanding of local and international purchasing standard.
  9. Ability to persuade/influence others in sensitive/confrontational situations.
  10. Good knowledge of IT tools, CRM, MS Office, ERP – MS Dynamics/Great Plain an advantage
  11. Good analytical thinking and ability to solve problems
  12. Good team player
  13. Innovative; Proactive; positive, meet challenges with a Can-do Attitude
