We are currently looking for an Junior Accountant to join our team in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
Primary responsibilities:
- Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
- Hands on with UAE VAT implementation experience (Input VAT & Output VAT)
- Update financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
- Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports
- Assist Senior Accountant in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
- Assist in maintaining the books of accounts and records and other accounting related functions
- Creating invoices and POs
Requirements & Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ work experience in an accounting role
- Bachelor’s in accounting, finance or relevant degree. Additional certification is a plus (CPA, CMA, or equivalent)
- Strong competence in Microsoft applications
- Meeting all deadlines, being flexible to complete all necessary & ad hoc task
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical and communication skills
- Experience with accounting software – QuickBooks is preferable
- Attention to details
- Strong analytical ability and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
