With the head office located in Tecom, Dubai and warehouses in JAFZA and Umm Ramool, Polar Star Logistics is looking for a Warehouse Operations Manager to manage our warehouses in Dubai.

Scope:

• Warehouse Operations Manager’s primary responsibilities include managing two or more warehouse locations, developing the warehouse infrastructure, providing products and services, developing strategies for achieving sales targets and financial goals, managing the entire warehouse operations, addressing legal and health and safety requirements, creating standard operating procedures and training employees.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Analyze and develop logistics and warehousing strategies for maximum resource utilization (financial, manning, infrastructure).
• Oversee, organize, direct, and train warehouse employees, as well as establish, monitor, and manage warehouse operation goals to ensure the warehouse operates efficiently.
• Developing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures.
• Drive sales and coordinate all sales activities locally.
• Establish, follow, and enforce standards and procedures and comply with legal requirements to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Monitor daily performance and sales targets and take appropriate actions as needed, as well as identify and control cost-saving opportunities.
• Establish warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements, equipment utilization, inventory management, gate processes, and shipping procedures.
• Work with a warehouse team to overcome day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals while training and managing the team to reach those goals
• Control and manage the daily operations of the business, as well as inventory and logistics management.
• Evaluate the performance of the team on an annual basis.
• Assess and prepare workflow, manning and space requirements, equipment layout, and action plans while maintaining productivity, quality, and customer service standards
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure their implementation.
• Develop warehousing products and services.
• Maintain high morale and motivation among the Warehouse & Logistics team.
• Ensure a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s Degree in Administration or warehousing related field or Certified Supply Chain Professional Certification.
• Outstanding communication and people skills.
• Familiarity with MS Office and various business software such as CRM and warehousing system.
• A working knowledge of the legal guidelines and rules of the industry.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Leadership skills and excellent problem-solving skills.
• A thorough understanding of a variety of business functions and principles (e.g. warehousing and supply chain, finance, customer service, etc.).
• Strong organizational skills.
• Adaptability to work with people of all levels in the company.
