Chef Middle East Dubai is growing, and we are looking for new talent to join our team!

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Specialist who will primarily be responsible to formulate and drive a consistent approach towards group sourcing & maximize savings. This involves contract negotiation, pricing, and cost management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sourcing and supply across all CME categories & branch offices
  • Contract tendering, negotiation, implementation, and management.
  • Identify cost saving opportunities that will enhance the profitability of CME
  • Develop and build relationships with existing suppliers and create relationships with new suppliers
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Develop criteria and checklists to meet CME’s requirements in terms of product specification, quality, service, and reliability standards help the purchasing team/procurement team evaluate suppliers’ proposals as well as measure suppliers’ performance.
  • Resolve the logistics, supply and product specification and quality issues concerning incoming supply with the suppliers.
  • Analyse and evaluate the product pricing trends on the existing as well as new products to identify opportunities to purchase.
  • Responsible in sourcing of products and services to maximize CME’s margin with the best cost
  • Develop processes to standardize and maximize our Process efficiency and control of our internal operations
  • Involved in business process engineering. Collaborate between other Divisions to improve procurement related process and procedure

Qualifications & Experience

  • College /University diploma in supply chain management, logistics or business administration or at least three years related experience in a similar industry
  • Must have overall procurement experience / knowledge (Eg, sourcing, negotiating, purchasing, designing & enhancing procurement related SOP etc).
  • Commercially focused and a keen eye for detail with strong analytical & numerical skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the market
  • High level competence in Microsoft Excel and other office packages.
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organisational, time management and communication skills (both verbal and written)
