We are seeking a Revenue & Credit Controller for our Finance team, based in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Input all data related to client invoicing, analyze time descriptions and maintenance of billing files.
- Accurately enter and code invoice payments into the financial systems, reconciling payment to appropriate invoice in a timely and efficient manner.
- Correspond in a professionally and courteously to clients and internal stakeholders via telephone or email regarding payment inquiries and to process credit card payments.
- Respond to partner/ client inquires and special projects.
- Communicate with management on status of WIP and billing process.
- Proactively seek and provide recommendations to improve existing processes.
- Researches any billing discrepancies and follows up with appropriate personnel to make any necessary corrections.
- Proactively encourage billing for āout of scopeā work.
- Prepare direct deposits, online banking and electronic fund transfers.
- Sort and prepare cheques for deposit.
- Update client and payment information in internal databases and applications.
- Monitor team shared mailboxes and respond to queries in a timely manner.
- Preparation of client statements.
- Other duties as assigned and required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelorās degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or other business-related fields from a recognized institution.
- A relevant accounting qualification is preferred.
- Minimum of 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Excellent understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Excellent grasp of Financial and Management Accounting; Taxation and relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
- A friendly, positive, and professional attitude dealing with clients and staff, including excellent customer service skills.
- Motivated self-starter displaying a willingness to learn and an ability to work both independently as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong, clear and persuasive written and verbal communication skills.
- Possess intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications (Excel in particular).
- Ability to work in a fast paced, high transaction environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to resolve issues in timely, diplomatic and effective manner.
- Willingness to roll up your sleeves whenever the need arises.
