Main Duties

  • To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health and Safety.
  • To undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by Chief Engineer/Engineering Manager.
  • To handle and treat all matters of a confidential nature, oral or written with tact and discretion.
  • May train as well as oversee the work of others who assist in completing a project.
  • Maintain records and write reports.
  • Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.
  • The ability to assist shift engineers on major shut downs for repairs.
  • The ability to maintain logs for all work performed while on duty within department and those in other departments as they apply to Engineering Repairs.
  • The ability to assist in installing or relocating any additional or existing equipment when necessary.
  • The ability to respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc.
  • The ability to perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff.

Duties

  • Reading and interpreting blueprints to assess or plan plumbing installations and layouts.
  • Installing, maintaining and repairing plumbing systems and fixtures.
  • Repair bathroom plumbing; replace or repair leaking faucets and damaged lavatory sinks; unclog toilets, shower and sink drains.
  • Planning for preventive maintenance for all plumbing systems
  • Knows how to deal with water heaters, calorifier and gas boilers.
  • Fitting and repairing various household appliances.
  • Cutting, welding and assembling pipes, tubes, fittings, and fixtures.
  • Inspecting and testing plumbing systems for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems
  • Experience with water fountains and swimming pools requirements cleaning, backwash…. ETC.
  • Assists other technician when require.

Requirements

  • 3+ Years experience in hospitality or facility management companies
  • Good level in English language, spoken and written
  • Physically fit to climb ladders, carry weights up to 20 KG
  • Ability to Work in cramped conditions to solve problems using your hands and a selection of specialized equipment.
