A well-known and well-reputed Company based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced, skilled, competent, mature, qualified, creative, and intelligent candidate with significant knowledge and relevant working experience for the position of  “Internal Audit Manager”.

Venture Search is partnered with an Abu Dhabi-based real estate company. We are actively searching for a Senior Internal Audit Manager who will be reporting to the Audit Committee, this role would be responsible for planning and executing risk-based assurance and consulting activities that would add value and improve the operational efficiency, internal control, effectiveness of risk management, and governance processes.

Role:

• Identifies risks related to business processes and activities and evaluates controls used to manage these risks based on their impact on the achievement of the group’s strategic objectives to identify potential issues and areas for improvement
• Develops risk assessments, process flows, and testing procedures that are compliant with policies, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices
• Develop an internal audit plan based on a comprehensive assessment of risks and update the internal audit plan based on changes to the risk profile and emerging risks
• Determines the appropriate audit scope and audit type with the management for assigned audits and execute the audit plan
• Reviews compliance with policies, procedures, and guidelines and assesses their fit for purpose
• Prepares audit reports stating findings and conclusions pertaining to the adequacy and effectiveness of risk management, control systems, and efficiency with which activities are carried out
• Identifies the cost-effective improvements in the areas audited as well as other opportunities for improvement in business efficiency and resource utilization
• Appraises the adequacy of the corrective actions taken by management on audit recommendations/ improvement options

Qualifications, Skills, and Attributes

· Has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

· Must have professional qualifications (i.e., ACCA/CPA/CIA/CA/CMA)

· Has at least 8 years of relevant audit, consulting, or industry experience

· Real Estate Development Experience is a must

· UAE experience is mandatory, and preference will be given to candidates based in Abu Dhabi, or candidates that will commit to relocating to Abu Dhabi

· Dynamic and proactive and able to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels throughout the organization

· Ability to remain up to date with industry and regulatory changes and professional standards

· Able to integrate technical knowledge with analytical and critical thinking skills

· Has excellent communication and client service skills

· Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply judgment to provide an efficient and effective solutions as well as excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Excellent report writing skills (especially PowerPoint presentations)

· Willingness to travel overseas (as needed)
