Job Purpose
The purpose of this role is to ensure that STARTRADER has accurate financial records such as making sure books are balanced, tax obligations are covered, and that you’re able to make confident business decisions based on sound financial data. You’ll need to be able to work with other departments in the business to ensure that we’re always keeping our financial information up to date.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform all activities related to the accounting cycle including Journal Entry processing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll and intercompany transactions.
- Manage the accounting function to ensure that it meets all regulatory requirements, including statutory filing and tax compliance.
- Ensure that accounting records are complete, accurate and timely.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management accounts.
- Prepare annual budget and forecasting.
- Liaise with external auditors and tax authorities.
- Develop and implement processes and controls to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial information.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting and financial reporting processes.
- Manage and develop a small team of accountants.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in tax/accounting/finance
2+ years of experience
Experience with financial reporting requirements
Proficiency with accounting tools, Google Docs, Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
