Reporting to the HUB Operations Manager MEA, you will be leading MEA supply chain as well as the local supply chain for Gulf LPG. Defining and implementing supply chain mission, vision and strategy for the HUB in line with HUB priorities and BU strategy. Leading and coaching supply chain team to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality, and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Ensuring execution in accordance with company guidelines and procedures.

Your responsibilities

  • Sourcing Strategy: Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy ensuring that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements. Ensuring all relevant parties understand strategies and execute processes accordingly.
  • Process: Implementing cost-out programs and processes for a diverse portfolio in a multi-business organization to reach financial targets. Overseeing the SCM aspects of research, selection, and implementation of new systems in order to improve the efficiency of purchasing activities.
  • Procurement: Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts. Ensuring buyers minimize risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Monitoring: Planning and logistics of incoming materials and components based on the master production plan and master production schedule. Updating the master production plan on a regular basis and ensures efficient stock and inventory management.
  • Supplier Agreements: Ensuring appropriate supplier selection in accordance with company policies. Defining and establishing local standard agreements with all major suppliers. Providing and maintaining standard terms in purchase contracts terms and conditions in line with company directives and guidelines.
  • Human Resource: Ensuring with HR manager support that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed. Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies and BU Supply Chain Management guidelines.

Your background

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering. MBA would be advantage.
  • 15 years of supply chain management experience in Power and T&D industry. Experience working in Middle East market.
  • Strong network of suppliers within utility, O&G, infrastructure segments.
  • Strong product and sourcing process knowledge.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, customer and business oriented. Leading virtual teams.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
