We’re looking to hire a dynamic Senior Tax Manager to join our corporate office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Objective

  • This position will help businesses meet complex demands for tax reporting, compliance, planning, strategy, and controversy. By integrating deep technical and industry knowledge with established methodologies and help Business Unit with development and implement effective, practical and sustainable tax strategies.
  • To advise the management in the area of taxation like withholding taxes, salary taxes, income taxes and other taxes affecting the BUs businesses in the GCC and other middle eastern countries in order to achieve and maintain compliances and reduce tax liabilities.

Key Responsibilities/Duties

  • Responsible for overseeing all tax related decisions and activities in the organization. You will help us stay tax-compliant and up-to-date on new tax laws.
  • Develop and implement Group Tax strategy
  • Expansion of tax role into regulatory services
  • To provide a full range of VAT services in compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure minimum irrecoverable VAT to the Company
  • Review of VAT Returns, Timely filling of VAT returns, reconciliation and accounting.
  • To set up and manage an effective system of VAT collection and remittance.
  • Co-ordinate with inter group companies for collecting tax returns and compile for Submitting returns with tax authorities
  • Manage tax provision and Tax compliance process
  • Improve processes by developing or Implementing best practices.
  • Manage and co-ordinate tax audits.
  • Maintain and safe keep tax related documents and records.

  • To build relations with General Managers of the Business Units and provide excellent planning, consultation and expertise in areas of Tax management.
  • Identify and Mitigate Tax Risks
  • Work with the IT functions and Group Finance Controller to ensure the indirect tax process is as time and cost effective as possible.
  • Provide tax leadership for the implementation of corporate.
  • Lead the development, analysis and implementation of planning ideas to minimize global taxes in a manner that agrees with the overall company strategy.
  • Evaluate tax planning and structuring ideas to determine impacts to the business
  • Independently manage other reporting regulations introduced in the UAE such as, Country by Country Reporting requirements, Economic Substance Regulations, etc. – This would involve compliance, reporting, and filing works for the Group
  • Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit/ refund support for the Group
  • This will involve working with other members of the Group and Regional Finance teams to optimize statutory structure and implementing global tax initiatives.
  • To build relations with General Managers of the Business Units and provide excellent planning, consultation and expertise in areas of Tax management.

Minimum Requirement

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in tax of which at least 2 years in a management role.
  • Chartered Accountant or ACCA or CPA or any equivalent qualification in international tax law.
