Procurement Specialist | Al Masaood

A well-known and well-reputed Company based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates is looking for an experienced, skilled, competent, mature, qualified, creative, and intelligent candidate with significant knowledge and relevant working experience for the position of  “Procurement Specialist”.

Job Purpose

Oversee Procurement of goods and services for Al Masaood Properties with consultation of the business unit. Establish Procurement Business partner relationship to support the business efficiently with its strategic and day-to day needs to support Sales and Marketing Function. Evaluate supplier markets, understand the requirement, deliver the best quality of product and services for the feasible costs. Maintain inventory of approved suppliers, administrate strategic suppliers’ agreements, sustain supplier’s relationship, and manage suppliers’ risks.

Core Responsibilities

• Support Central Procurement function and Al Masaood Properties
• Evaluating suppliers and negotiating purchase agreements
• Conducting high value tenders and requests for proposals (RFP’s RFQ’s)
• Performing an extensive industry research and use specialized knowledge to determine the capacity and capability of the supplier to deliver the required goods and services efficiently and safely
• Contract managing and administration (drafting and reviewing procurement contracts to eliminate/reduce the risks to AMG)
• Supplier risk management
• Promoting good procurement practice supporting requesters.
• Identifying and delivering efficiency savings and improved contractual arrangements
• Acting as an interface between suppliers and Al Masaood/Properties division on purchasing processes and new projects and activities
• Monitoring and advising on supply risk and/or opportunity to the organization
• Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
• Providing analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
• Adhering to Procurement Policy and other organizational compliance
• Working closely with Procurement BP’s from other BU’s and review opportunities and synergies for continuous improvements
• Adhering to Al Masaood health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, staff and visitors
• Negotiating existing and new contracts, focusing on delivering values and reducing the costs for the business
• Reviewing and managing supplier base to ensure consistency with the sourcing strategy.
• Conducting regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.
• Reviewing supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes and standards.

Experience and Qualification

• Minimum of 5 years experience in Procurement preferably in Properties and Facilities Management
• Bachelors with CIPs certification
• Proficiency in administrating and negotiating contracts terms and conditions
• Track record on cost savings and value add activities
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, vendor risk management)
