We’re looking for an Accountant to help our finance team to manage the numbers and deliver the insight needed to shape Lux Holiday Homes unique business model.
This role is based in Dubai and reports to our Finance Manager.
- Development of owners accounts/statements on a monthly basis showing the breakdown of income and expenditure per property in a timely and consistent fashion
- Help drive profitability through the provision of quality management information and commercial advice
- Make recommendations to support the achievement of both business strategies and operations
- Assist the Finance Manager to oversee HR and Administration including payroll, visa management, trade license, permits, leases, contracts etc
- Handle cash flow transactions and projecting cash requirements for future
- Process and prepare financial and business forms for the purpose of checking account balances, facilitating purchases, etc.
- Perform routine calculations to produce analyses and reports as requested by the Finance Manager
- Help oversee and manage individual accounts
- Create, send, and follow up on invoices
- Review and adhere to department budgets
- Collect and enter data for various financial spreadsheets
- Review and audit financial statements and reports, ensure all calculations and data entries are correct
- Reconcile any discrepancies or errors identified by conversing with employees and/or clients
- Report any troubling discoveries or suspicion of wrongdoing to the proper authorities
- Collect information for and prepare payroll payments for employees
- Assist the Financial Manager in creating financial reports on a regular basis
- Adhere to the company’s or organisation’s financial policies and procedures
- Answers question and provide assistance to stakeholders, customers, and clients as needed
- Suggest changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, and cost reductions
- Legal compliance management including preparation of VAT, UBO, ESR filings
Skills & Experience
- 2+ years professional experience in revenue accounting
- Experience of working with data in a commercial, results driven environment
- Experience researching and documenting technical accounting matters
- Strong accounting capability set with the ability to manage end to end accounting processes
- Able to succeed in a fast, high-growth and fairly unstructured work environment
- Excellent problem-solving skills and experience analysing high volume, multi-currency transactions in a global business environment
- Driven self-starter, ready to roll up your sleeves and help shape our future
- Inquisitive and analytical mindset
- Highly numerate, with fine attention to detail and second nature quality control
- Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills. Using empathy to build relationships and work across teams and locations

- Bachelors in Business Accounting/ Finance/ Economics, ACCA, CIMA, ACA or other internationally recognised accounting qualification
