We are looking for a Tax Manager to join our Finance team. He/ she will be responsible for independently managing the Tax Function and engaging with legal department to review and advise appropriate tax clauses to be included in contracts and to resolve issues on taxation matters. He/ she will be responsible for filing of all tax returns and communication with the Government Authorities. Their key responsibilities, although not limited to below, would be:
1. Facilitate and manage the preparation and review of company tax returns and accurate, timely filing of all tax forms.
2. Find and implement opportunities for process improvement in company tax procedures.
3. Develop and implement strategic tax planning for all taxes.
4. Work closely with accounting team to ensure correct accounting and reconciliation with books of accounts.
5. Plan for and develop overall return calendar and coordinate timing and inputs with accounts team.
6. Maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the tax process.
7. Manage and facilitate tax audits: preparing responses, creating schedules, etc.
8. Monitor legislative and regulatory tax law developments, communicate the effects of these developments to management and finance team and create strategies to capitalize on changes to taxation legislation.
9. Provide support with various internal audits and special tax related projects.
10. Manage and track tax balances in General Ledger.
Minimum eligibility requirements and key competencies:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, management, or finance
- MBA or an advanced degree in business, management, or finance
- Tax certification courses
- 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience with a variety of tax operations and ability to drive process improvements.
- Extensive VAT and Corporate tax knowledge
