Summary
Lead and drive the overall business of the company, its management capability and reputation and to grow its current assets. Priorities will include digital transformation of existing platforms, development of the company’s digital wealth management capabilities and building out the next generation of digital client acquisition and engagement capabilities.
Major Responsibilities
- Shape the company’s vision and strategy as a leading investment firm in the UAE, including venturing into emerging areas such as Fintech, Tokenization, and Cryptocurrencies.
- Drive digital wealth management initiatives to end-to-end delivery in close partnership with technology partners and internal stakeholders.
- Drive strategy, roadmap development, and execution of wealth management core platforms, including architecture and SOPs with full capabilities to support growth of the business going forward.
- Ensure investment and advisory decisions are made in line with the company’s investment policies and procedures (including the preparation of the robust investment proposals) and in compliance with the UAE regulatory framework for investment companies.
- Oversee the company’s financial performance, investments, and other business ventures.
- Ensure adequate and efficient management of assets and liabilities to ensure sustainable growth of the company.
- Structure, market, and create Finance House Group investment products such as sukuks and commercial papers.
- Originate, execute, and place equity, debt, and M&A advisory transactions to generate fee income for the company.
- Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are followed at all times.
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, clients, investors, business partners, and authorities.
- Develop investment portfolios to be offered to clients through both traditional and digital channels.
- Design holistic digital wealth management experiences for clients from onboarding to investments, redemptions, deposits, withdrawals, reward schemes, knowledge-base platforms (blogs, webinars, etc.), and gamification.
- Prepare financial models for forecasting/testing the robustness of the company’s strategy.
- Engage in program management and governance, including budget management.
Knowledge & Skill Requirements
- Well versed in investment theory and portfolio management processes.
- Experience and/or knowledge of digital financial platforms, products, and technologies.
- Knowledge of macro-economics and capital markets.
- Knowledge of core banking operations and processes and ability to design and review process flows and controls.
- Strong acumen to orchestrate multiple stakeholders in solving business and technology challenges.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree/Masters / MBA, preferably in Business Studies, Finance, Economics, Accounting or related field.
- CFA charter holder preferred.
- SCA Certification as Investment Manager / Financial Analyst preferred.
Experience
- 10 – 15 years of mixed experience in investment banking, financial services, private banking, wealth management, Fintech or closely related organizations.
