JOB SUMMARY:
As a key member of the Country Leadership Team, the Country Finance Manager works with the leaders in driving the strategic directions of the business by providing financial advisory services; ensuring that effective business controls and planning processes are in place to manage risk; evaluating the performance of the business and recommending strategies for growth or cost efficiencies; and raising the level of financial awareness in the organization.
KEY RESULT AREAS:
Controllership
Accounting:
Ā· Review the Management Reports; ensure its accuracy and timely submission to Country and Philippine Management.
Ā· Review the Balance Sheet and Nominal Account analysis and ensure the timely disposition on reconciling items or errors.
Ā· Comply with the International Accounting Standards (IAS), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) of the country.
Ā· Efficiently manage the Accounting team and provide guidance to Store and Main Office employees to ensure compliance and understanding of role, policies, systems and procedures.
Financial Policy Compliance and Development
Ā· Conducts regular financial audit for all stores and support units and key employees handling company funds and assets.
Ā· Reviews and recommends enhancement/improvement of the internal financial policies and procedures including store level cash control procedures and support group financial policies.
Ā· Creates financial policies internal to the organization to manage risk and optimize financial controls.
Budget Management:
Ā· Creates financial policies internal to the organization to manage risk and optimize financial controls.
Ā· Monitors and analyzes monthly budget spending, company operations costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results, and the companyās actual performance compared to the business plans.
Ā· Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities for the entire organization
Financial Advisory Services
Ā· Interprets business financial reports and provides insights to facilitate strategic decision-making.
Ā· Monitors and interprets cash flows and reports future trends, and proposes dividend payouts and payments of outstanding payables, if any.
Ā· Evaluates store financial viability and recommends to the management a sound or appropriate business decision.
Ā· Participates in ad-hoc functional teams involving Operations, and the Support Group.
Ā· Implements the most efficient tax payment application and ensures that all tax payments are valid, accurate and timely.
Business Planning
Ā· Participates in meetings for strategic decision-making, including the setting of long-term goals, development of organizational and financial strategies, and decisions regarding programs that affect the organization.
Ā· Spearheads the preparation of the Annual Operating and Capital Budgets for the business, including Sales, Profit & Loss, Store Expansion/Closure Plans. Also in charge of budget review and finalization for each support unit or departments.
Ā· Checks budget guidelines and reports. Disseminates to the concerned store or department including budget adjustment or changes.
Financial Information Management
Ā· Monitors and analyzes sales and profit performance of the country/market and projects business outlook and presents to the Country Head for comments/approval every month.
Ā· Reviews all business reports from organization including but not limited to Sales Reports, Profit & Loss Statements, Admin Expense Reports, CAPEX reports, OPEX Reports etc.
Ā· Tracks profitability and Return on Invested Capital (ROIC) of stores.
Ā· Manage general ledger and cash management processes.
Ā· Maintains confidential database such as store/market/country sales, profits and other expense related activities or items.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ā· With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering or Accounting.
Ā· Has at least five (5) years experience in Finance, Accounting, Corporate Planning and/or Audit preferably in a Restaurant/Food Service or Retail industry. At least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
Ā· Has the ability to interface professionally across all levels of company and support group management.
Ā· Able to deliver in a timely and effective manner in an environment of constant change, conflicting priorities and demands from different groups.
Ā· With good written and oral communication skills
Ā· Knowledgeable in MS Office
