RAQ constantly seeks to diversify its contracting portfolio and market presence. Currently, we are looking to hire new procurement engineers (for the civil sector only) in order to grow the company in a profitable manner in order to increase market penetration and develop brand recognition in the civil contracting sector in the United Arab Emirates.

As a procurement officer, your key responsibilities will be to evaluate bids and raise LPOs ensuring our team has everything required to execute the project successfully.
Procurement Engineers must aggressively follow up with subcontractors and vendors to ensure quotes are received. The PO also assists the Project Management team in project delivery. Critical for success is the ability to take direction, work independently, and manage time effectively.
Strong verbal and written communication skills and acute attention to detail are musts.
Must have at least 3 years of working experience in the UAE working in procurement for a major contracting company.
Must have an overall experience of 10 years in the construction field in UAE, on-site.

What it takes?
+ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
+ 3 years of related experience in procurement in UAE having worked as a procurement engineer
+ 10 years overall experience in a construction company as an engineer on site
+ Existing relationships with major vendors preferred
+ Ability to read and understand complex engineering specs and drawings before signing off on any vendor.
+ Have basic contractual knowledge
+ High level of organization and attention to detail
+ Ability to manage tight deadlines
+ Ability to work under pressure
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
+ Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with various levels of management
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. When we say proficient, you need to know how to use certain advanced features.
+ Prior ERP knowledge preferred
