The Supply Chain Manager (SCM) leads all supply chain and logistics operations of the company to maintain adequate inventory levels at all times, maximize efficiency, reduce risk, and minimize the overall cost of operations.

Responsibilities Include (but not limited to):

  • Prepare monthly forecasts by SKU for all active principals in collaboration with all internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare monthly detailed demand planning worksheets and share with all internal stakeholders for discussion and finalization of monthly orders.
  • Negotiate & select the best inbound freight rates with best services.
  • Ensure smooth and efficient preparation of all documents required for clearance.
  • Oversee the general maintenance of all facilities.
  • Keep a record of all maintenance contracts and ensure necessary renewals at the best price.
  • Maintain a list of government licenses and ensure necessary renewals.
  • Select best possible suppliers relevant to AEC requirements & budgets including but not limited to telecom suppliers, distribution fleet, security & IT, 3rd party labor, freight, clearance and insurance, consumable products, Uniforms, furniture & office equipment.
  • Maintain & update list of all current & potential suppliers.
  • Contact & follow up with suppliers on urgent projects and emergencies.
  • Be able to provide quotations from a minimum of three different vendors on each and every new project.

Qualifications

  • University Degree, preferably in Logistics / Supply Chain
  • Logistics & procurement related certification
  • Experience in working with systems such as SAP / Oracle etc.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and Power Point
  • Proficient in Demand Planning and Forecasting methodologies
  • 6-8 years of supply chain experience with a local or multinational company in the UAE preferably with pharmaceutical, or consumer health products.
