MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
An opportunity has arisen for a Waiter / Waitress to join our team . The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
- To confidently serve customers as per the brand standards
- Looks for ways to go above and beyond the guests’ expectations
- Have a full understanding and can explain when asked the brand concept, history and vision
- Completed basic food hygiene and work in a safe and hygienic manner at all times
- Communicate any out of stock items to manager or team leader. Also when stocks are running low
- Communicate to managers any issues immediately
- Actively engage with colleagues and customers at all times
- Make simple decisions that affect work or guest’s experience in a positive manner
- Have very good product knowledge and is able to confidently describe food and beverage items to a guest
- Can confidently take a guest’s food & beverage order and ask all relevant questions where necessary
- Ensure that all side duties and cleaning schedules are completed as per daily checklists
- Complete all checklist as required daily , weekly and monthly for the outlet
- Can run food and communicate with the kitchen with confidence
- Can accommodate and pack take away orders as per the brand standard
Skills & Qualifications
- High School qualification or equivalent is preferred
- Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management is preferred
- Minimum 2 yearsā experience working as Waiter/Waitress in a f&b outlet
- Ability to understand guest needs and to deliver superior customer service
- Ability to work long hours with a strong focus on operational excellence
- Familiar with restaurant point of sales and cashiering procedures is preferred
- Ability to prepare and suggest classic and innovative beverages
- Knowledge of Food and Beverages service procedures and standards as well as good knowledge of spirits
- Ability to understand the flow of service and handle multiple tasks effectively is preferred
- Basic computer skills including MS Office is preferred
- Ability to understand effective approaches of communication with different individuals
- Able to communicate clearly with peers and superiors
- Verbal and written communication skills in English
