We are looking for an organized, efficient Accountant / Admin with an eye for detail and high level of accuracy. The candidate can expect to handle communications with vendors, clients, and internal departments, assist with inventory, database, and record maintenance, prepare financial reports, issue checks and making deposits, and generally ensure that the office operations are running smoothly.
You should be professional and courteous with strong computer skills and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles.
To succeed in this role, you should be a skilled multi-tasker with excellent time management, computer, and communication skills. Candidates should understand and abide by all accounting procedure and principles and have a commitment behaving ethically in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounts duties
- Maintain the books and records of the business
- Be accountable for financial reporting to strict monthly deadlines
- Explain variances to plan/forecast with proposals for corrective action
- Develop and monitor of the financial KPIs of the business
- Carry out month/year end reporting including preparation and review of management reports for internal and external distribution
- Prepare budgets Review balance sheet control account reconciliations
- Ensure compliance
Office Admin duties
- Manage the office and staff to ensure effective communication both internally and externally
- Provide office guests with a hospitable experience
- Supervise the maintenance of office areas, equipment, and facilities
- Interact with IT, phone and building personnel as needed
- Organize the team’s workload, meetings, reports
- Overseeing HR requirements for staff documents and rights.
- Assist the CEO with all requests.
The successful candidate is likely to meet all of the following criteria:
- Essential Ability to set up an effective and efficient finance function
- Broad range of accounting experience from transactional input through to management accounts preparation
- Contract or long term project accounting background Ability to review and scrutinize all finance outputs
- Good understanding of VAT, PAYE and CIS
- Cash forecasting, reconciliation and management experience
- CIMA, ACCA, ACA, AAT, QBE or equivalent
- High level of computer literacy, including all MS Office products
- Administrative experience
- Strong organization skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise with all levels of staff
