Mandate of Underwriting, Product Development & Marketing Division

· Strategic and operational management of existing insurance products

· Development of product portfolio, leveraging market intelligence and customer feedback

· Creation, licensing, pricing and marketing of new insurance products

Mandate of Marketing Department

· Steer all product marketing activities to successfully promote Basic+ and Enhanced business products

· Manage customer journey and monitor customer experience

· Create and leverage advertising tools, with a focus on digital marketing (E-mail, SEO, Social Media), responsible for steering potential customers to the website/creation of online leads

· Responsible for Daman website, with Thiqa content supplied by Government Affairs

· Monitor market and competitor activities, and create a periodical update on market developments

Role Purpose

Overarching duties as a Daman leader:

· Develop and implement a department strategy in line with company strategy, set departmental and operational goals and initiate measures to reach goals and to improve department performance

· Lead performance management process measuring progress against departmental goals

· Responsible for a result-oriented management and development of people and resources, including provision of a strong day-to-day leadership presence involving resource allocation, monitoring, reporting, and conducting regular staff meetings

· Manage department expenditure requirements, minding its impact on the financial budget

· Foster organizational culture by establishing quality awareness and service orientation by implementing and complying to processes such as Project and Change Management

· Initiate, develop, implement and ensure adherence of policies and procedure

Department specific:

· Lead all product marketing activities to successfully promote Basic+ and Enhanced business products

· Analyse, monitor and report customer service needs, delivery systems, market and the competitor landscape to develop and coordinate the implementation of new and/or enhanced programmes

· Lead customer relationship management strategy, manage customer journey and monitor customer experience

· Create and manage frameworks to track, evaluate and optimize customer interactions

· Develop, create and leverage advertising tools, with a focus on digital marketing (E-mail, SEO, Social Media, responsible for steering potential customers to the website/creation of online leads)

· Initiate and lead customer insights projects through research programs to determine customer satisfaction and improvement areas

· Build up and manage a central customer database to profile different customer segments as base for targeted customer interactions, up- and cross-selling

· Manage and oversee Daman website, with Thiqa content supplied by Government Affairs

Key Requirements and Qualifications

· 8+ years of experience in marketing; 5+ years of which in a management/supervisory role

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/ Marketing or any related field

· Master’s degree is a plus

Skills and Competencies

· Very good leadership skills including people management, selection and development skills

· Very good command of written and spoken English; knowledge of Arabic language is an advantage

· Broad knowledge of health insurance concepts

· Experienced in managing a multi-cultural environment and promote teamwork
