What youā€™ll do

The Senior manager of UAE People Operations reports to the VP People Operations and partners with the GMs of the various UAE businesses.

You will be responsible for managing the delivery of HR services covering the entire employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, payroll, compliance, employee experience and 3rd party contractors management. In addition, you and your team will provide consultation to employees and managers on topics that cover the full breadth of HR.

The key responsibility areas are:

  • Identify opportunities to enhance the people services and deliver solutions to provide the best possible employee experience
  • Provide guidance for the UAE HR admin operations team: Managing day-to-day operational HR activities such as employee database, leave management, insurance execution, grievances, and investigations, etc.
  • Be the subject matter expert in Emiratization programs such as Tawteen and drive delivery of those where noon becomes an early adopter of such programs to effectively utilize their benefits for the organisation
  • Accountable for the UAE payroll entries and being the point of contact for the third-party manpower providers for their payroll execution.
  • Advise, coach and partner with line managers for the implementation of noon policies, and best practices to ensure management of personnel
  • Be a point for employee queries, providing advisory where needed to ensure they are fully aware of their rights and responsibilities and address it in a proactive manner
  • Train line managers on HR policies and processes, including Performance Management and Employment Law
  • Partner with our Shared Services team and other HR functions on topics like Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Talent Engagement & Development
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR processes, systems and procedures
  • Manage, guide and motivate a team of direct reports
  • Roll out new or/and amend existing policies, procedures, processes. Ensure compliance and hygiene in line with the polices.
  • Manage systems implementation, provide training where necessary and manage a team of system administrators (if applicable).

Who will you work with:

  • Reports to: SVP People (future: VP People Operations)
  • Direct reports: Currently 4 FTE direct reports in the UAE People Operations team, with the total team size of 20 FTE.
  • Other key stakeholders: Wider HR Team (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management), UAE Management Team, Finance, Procurement

What youā€™ll need:

  • 8+ years of relevant professional experience with minimum of 3 years of experience Managing People Operations in UAE
  • Bachelorā€™s / Masterā€™s Degree from a top-tier academic institution (Masterā€™s degree in HR preferred)
  • Strong HR acumen and business understanding with a P&L orientation
  • Deep knowledge of HR functions with expertise in UAE employment law
  • Previous experience in the e-commerce industry and high growth startup environment preferred
  • Previous experience with payroll, compliance, audits, and Emiratisation
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to work in ambiguous environments and perform under pressure
  • Strong work ethics, decisiveness, and demonstrated leadership skills
  • Ability to effectively manage, inspire, and mentor direct and indirect reports
  • Passion for continuous process improvement and simplification
  • Critical and innovative thinking, even in stressful situations
