About the role

This role oversees all daily warehouse and logistics related operations, drive service and process excellence and work towards developing, training, and leading the warehouse and logistics team, conducting team performance and KPI’s.

Primary responsibilities

  • Handle a diverse multicultural team within the warehouse, inventory and logistics department.
  • Maintain standard warehouse regulations, health and safety requirements per HACCP standard
  • Ensure productivity targets are met and constant KPI monitoring of warehouse & logistics teams
  • Oversee order fulfilment & cost optimization.
  • Manage all warehouse & logistics employees and deal with personnel issues of warehouse & logistics employees assist in recruitment, training and discipline and maintain valid employee certifications and compliance of warehouse regulations.
  • Control SAP & WMS system and ensure the warehouse is process driven.
  • Manage time efficiently to ensure all customer deadlines are met and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Drive solutions and corrective and preventive actions, validate incident reports
  • Facilitate to provide suitable PO to Finance in terms of maintenance and local purchase of warehouse related goods & services.
  • Contribute to overall growth strategy of the organisation by identifying key areas for improvement
  • Budgeting for warehouse manpower and machinery requirements.
  • Conducts daily, weekly and monthly review of key operating reports, monitors progress and overcomes obstacles to ensure goals are achieved and updated to the management.
  • Continuously set, implement and monitor operating procedures to ensure that operating costs are lean and efficient.
  • Continuously monitors staffing levels, units per labour hour, and overtime costs and makes adjustments to ensure appropriate staffing to productivity ratios.
  • Manages inventory by ensuring cycle counts are completed, reconciled and adjusted. ensure maintenance of equipment and security of inventory.
  • Ensures safety & hygiene compliance within and outside the warehouse; conducts daily, weekly, monthly audits and regular reviews; ensures reporting compliance.
  • Working closely with the Quality Department in overseeing safety and hygiene programs and practises in line with the company standard.

What you need to excel

  • Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving ability.
  • Skilled at driving and leading the warehouse & distribution activities
  • Deadline oriented, safety & quality focused
  • Hands-on experience in handling food and perishable products.
  • Dubai municipality regulations and HACCP/ISO 22000 knowledge is mandatory.
  • Experience in using and handling of warehouse management systems, order management systems (SAP, etc) is mandatory.
  • Develop strong product knowledge and decision making.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
