Main purpose / Mission:

An exciting opportunity within a dynamic team awaits the right candidate.

This strategic role will suit an organized person with a great eye for details, plenty of team spirit & a strong interest in the watch luxury business.

Reporting directly to the Watch Division Business Development Director, the Business Development Manager position brings together all the aspects of an entrepreneurial challenge, dealing with the Middle East, India and Africa markets performance. Bringing new ideas and driving initiatives to support the regional watch division business development are key dimensions of this role.

This position is well exposed to Richemont Group top management and a springboard to further career opportunities within the Group.

Strategy and business planning:

  • Contribute in the definition of the regional distribution strategy
  • Review of performance, turnover, financial analysis, dashboards and customer insights
  • Preparation of strategic dashboards and presentations
  • Planning and executing senior management meetings, offsites etc.

Support the markets with key market intelligence and competition data around the business, real estate, macroeconomics, geopolitics, technology etc. – to support the markets and channels in identifying and assessing network and business growth opportunities.

Coordination of the Watch Division

  • Support the SWM Governance/Team Dynamics
  • Manage projects, information, and distribution analysis
  • Support markets on their SWM monthly meeting (Analysis, propositions…)
  • Data collection and analysis by gathering in-house market knowledge across functions/Maisons as well as external data from primary and secondary sources
  • Coordination with internal and external E-com platforms to enhance partnerships
  • Creating and updating monthly dashboards to track changes in key metrics

Business Development:

  • Development of multi-brand strategic partners’ business understanding
  • Identification, assessment and communication of development potential with strategic partner in key cities
  • Monitoring evolution of the POS for the watch division
  • Internal coordination for the watch division with Real Estate, Finance, and various Richemont support
  • functions
  • Recommendation to the management on action plans and solutions to implement based on market analysis findings
  • Identification, assessment and proposition of new opportunities in travel retail
  • Support roll out of the “New Retail” initiatives and coordination with HQ watch division.
  • Support implementation of new multi-brand projects, including legal and contractual framework

Background:

  • Master’s degree from a reputable business school
  • 2 to 3 years management consulting experience with a top firm
  • Understanding of commercial real estate industry would be preferred
  • Business development and/or project management within the luxury retail business
    Essential skills, knowledge:
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong experience in Excel & PowerPoint
  • A sound commercial and business acumen that enables you to optimize business performance
  • Proven capacity to structure and roll-out multiple business projects in parallel with always a strong attention to detail
