Job Description – Assistant Manager/Manager Account Payables
- Must have healthcare experience – At least 5 years of experience in Accounts payables
- Must be aware of Key suppliers in the UAE in the healthcare sector and should be good at negotiation.
- Keeping track of advances given to suppliers, their utilization, and accounting.
- Oracle experience will be a strong advantage.
- Manages and supervises the accounts payable department and staff in the organization.
- Keeping track of all payments and Post-dated cheques and ensuring all PDCs are booked in books of accounts.
- Proactively reaching out to vendors for vendor balance reconciliation on monthly basis and ensuring payments and provisions are properly accounted for in books of accounts
- Must be aware of AP aging.
- Ensure payments are made in accordance with agreed credit terms.
- Ensures that systems, policies, and procedures adhere to company policies while functioning with accuracy and timeliness.
- Ensures that the accounts payable and the company’s financial obligations are met efficiently.
- Keep track of the company’s financial expenditures, maintain a database and provide reports as and when requested by supervisors.
- Keeping track of monthly group-wide allocation of expenses, advances settlement, and vendor payments.
- Keeps track of the status of all transactions taking place within the company and external vendors and contractors
- Ensuring VAT is properly booked as per UAE VAT Laws.
- Ensure all Suppliers are set up in the accounting system once approved and are kept up to date.
- Ensure reconciliations are completed between the Suppliers Statements on a monthly basis and that reconciling item are followed-up and cleared on a timely basis.
- To handle the execution of external and internal audits, providing all the required information to the auditors, in order to facilitate accurate and fast execution.
- Keeping track of group-wide petty cash expenses and reconciliations.
- Formal accounting qualifications and understanding of IFRS guidelines are an advantage.
